Tools Application Programmer

MMO development requires a large suite of complex tools to enable content development for the game and to manage a complex build and delivery process. These tools span multiple technologies from Win32, MFC, and C# to SQL database and Client/Server development. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record in Windows application development, and talent and experience in understanding the needs of customers and translating those needs into UI and application design. Game development experience is desirable but not required.

Job Description

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Work closely with the Technical Director and other lead engineers to define and implement applications to enable effective game development

Build and maintain a programming schedule as well as other technical design documents related to tools development

Design, implement and maintain key development tools in a variety of technologies

Help facilitate communications between engineering and other departments

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

5+ years experience in Windows application development

A Bachelors degree in Software Engineering

Demonstrated expertise in MFC and C# programming

Excellent C/C++ skills

Ability to understand the needs of end users and translate those needs into effective application designs

Ability to architect distributed applications to solve complex problems

Individual must be self motivated with a strong work ethic

PLUSES

Web development experience (Java, HTML/XML, ASP.NET)

SQL Server development experience

Game Development experience

Fluency in Mandarin
